VILLIGER is one of the leading cigar and cigarillo manufacturers

Its production capacity of more than one billion cigars per year and over 1,600 employees make the Villiger Group a leading player in the cigar industry.

Production is concentrated in four factories: in the company headquarters in Switzerland (Pfeffikon, Lucerne), which was founded in 1888, in Germany (Waldshut-Tiengen, Baden-Württemberg and Bünde-Dünne, North Rhine-Westphalia), and in Indonesia on the island of Java (Jember/Jawa Timur).

VILLIGER HANDMADE cigars are produced in our own factory in Brazil, a subsidiary in Nicaragua, and a subcontractor in the Dominican Republic.

Princeton Tec’s HQ is located in Pennsauken NJ, USA, where all of our lights are constructed from concept to completion. We also have a plastic injection molding facility and tool shop down the road in Berlin. This allows us to personally ensure paramount quality as we prioritize attention to detail during the entire manufacturing process right here at home.

History & Evolution

Princeton Tec was born with our founder’s invention of the Bottom Timer, the industry’s first ever automatic dive timer. From there, similar applications were used at Princeton Tec to create a fully waterproof divable flashlight, an innovative product noted for its affordability, opening up a whole new world for recreational divers across the globe. As we continued to engineer premier lighting products for underwater exploration, our foundational flashlight collection, Dive, was formed.

As our Dive collection flourished, we decided to expand the Princeton Tec brand into all areas of outdoor adventure, and designed excellent headlamps and handheld lights specifically crafted for the outdoor activities our products still support today.

Our Tactical line was cultivated as we returned to our roots of underwater illumination and began supplying the U.S. Military with strobe lights for Navy SEALs. The positive response to Princeton Tec products from military personnel inspired us to engineer personal lighting products fit for all branches of the military. Now, with our matured collection of Tactical products, we proudly serve the specialized needs of the military, first responders, and other everyday heroes with industry leading lighting products.

The common aim of the association is to inspire people for ancient crafts, highest value and love of detail and to preserve the valuable work of the manufactories also in the future.

Wildo has its roots in the Swedish Allemansrätt or in English the All mans right. A tradition where every person has the privilege to enjoy the outdoors. Being surrounded by forests, lakes, and land has instilled in us a love for the great outdoors and a constant desire for adventure.

 Our Journey started back in 1979 when we decide it was time to improve the conditions for  our outdoor community. We needed products that was easy and functional  to use, pack and store. They needed to be durable in rough conditions, light enough to carry with you and  appreciated so highly that they would be used time and time again. This was of the essence when the koncept of our compact eating utensil was formed.

As inventor with a passion for sustainability, crossed paths with a former captain in the Swedish Army,  a product line, contrary to the buy and throw away era, started to grow.  They understood the feeling of being on the move and appreciated the  requirement and demands placed on product used in this outdoor conditions. Together they introduced a new age of tableware and accessories to the outdoor world. 

When the well-respected designer Tom Dixon, at the turn of the millennium, collected products that made an impression on the world in the book Rethink, the Fold-A-Cup was represented as a reminder of the importance of function in design.
